Three is Better

We'd like to share our reasoning and insiders to why three is our number. Three videographers to a wedding, that is. Mike Picard Motion Pictures has been in the wedding industry for over twenty years now, and we've progressed with the times. When booking with us, we may sometimes be asked if there can only be two of us on the day of the wedding, or asked why there needs to be three crew members. We will share and explain exactly why three is key. Yes, most wedding video companies will likely be a team of two, maybe even one. You certainly want to steer away from a video team of two or less, for the sake of your wedding video. In the case of wanting an above and beyond wedding video, quantity is really quality. With three shooters, you will have multiple angles, better coverage, and nearly everything gets captured. Each shooter is assigned with their specific duties, such as the first shooter to be focused on the bride at all times, and the second shooter to be focused on the groom, while the third shooter may get detail shots and reactions of family and friends. Three cameras and three sets of hands allows for a much higher quality video because we are all given our specific tasks just to be sure we capture it all in the best way possible, without missing a beat. With two people, you aren't given much lenience and opportunity for a diverse wedding video full of genuine and eye-catching content. Each of the three shooters on your wedding day are trained with what their exact responsibilities are, including where to be during the bridal prep, groom prep, ceremony, reception, and even get to film formal photos, and room details all at once. The common misconception is that having three shooters is to hectic, and that we may be in the way. However, with three stable shooters, you will not have us running around to get the other angle or shot as you would with one or two people, because we will already be in our assigned positions, ready to go throughout the entire day. If you've seen our videos, you may notice we capture certain moments from more than one angle such as the kiss, or the toasts. This makes for a much more compelling, and professional video that you will be guaranteed to love.
